Cruising with Friends & Interior Transformation

After weeks of wrenching and troubleshooting I finally got to do the thing this project is actually for, which is driving it. A few friends and I went out for a group drive on some scenic routes, and it was one of the best days I have had in the car. The weather held, the roads were dry, and the GTI felt sharp.
It was the kind of day where you forget about the frustration and the rusted bolts. The EA113 under load, the DSG downshifts. Everyone brought something different: some heavily modified, some nearly bone stock.
Before the drive I finally gave the interior a proper deep clean. The leather was treated, the plastics polished, the carpets vacuumed, and every bit of road dust and snack debris cleared out. It is the cleanest this car has been since I bought it.
I used my usual interior products, which I will go over in a future post. I am planning a dedicated guide on cleaning an interior, which should help if your car has been neglected or daily driven through hard winters like mine.
More drives coming soon.
